Walking for woman over 35, hormone balance at this age and older changes how to get the most benefit from walking . . Slow down ur pace, thinkand press ur bellybutton to ur spine. Doing this ,Lines up posture, engages "core" muscles. while walking slower pace allows the womans body to burn excess abdominal fat first due to brain thinking the body is for a " long haul " . If walking too fast for extended periods, the body will go into " destress"
Mode, storing fat in the ab area instead of burning it. Walk hills walk valleys just walk it away.

I totally agree with you there! Alcohol is most definitely empty calories and certainly doesn't contribute to fat loss!

I've used the taper off method with carbs before too, and I like it as well! We've really gotten used to protein and fats with dinner (no additional carbs). Makes dinner prep easier too!

Ok this works for me. Start off my my day with a big breakfast...protein, complex carbs and some healthy fat (avocado). Then as the day progresses reduce my portion size and start eliminating carbs. I try and stop eating carbs around 3:00. Now I do hit my daily goal of protein/carbs/fat but it's the timing I believe that contributes to the best use of these nutrients.

Those are definitely great tips and I think they should be included in everybody's lifestyle as they promote a healthy body. But my tip and this is from experience, I would have to say that one thing that can really sabotage a person's weight loss is alcohol. It's hard for your liver to do what it is supposed to when it is trying to process alcohol. Plus, alcohol is high in calories.
