YES! I'd say Brent is a bit more nervous than I am. I'm happy with either. Of course, healthy comes first over everything, but I think the hubby would like a boy ;)

Hmmm, I'm not sure where the weight gain could be coming from. Water weight? But that would still make you bloated enough that you'd have a hard time fitting into your clothes. Some women gain a lot at the beginning, then it tails off in the second trimester. I've been sick, so I gain the most in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. My aim is 30 lbs total like last time, but everyone is different. I wouldn't worry too much, just keep eating healthy and be as active as you can!

Congrats Kristine. It's been some time since I last checked in and I didn't know that a little bun is in the making. I've recently embarked on a healthier lifestyle and you've been one of my inspirations. That includes regular exercise and making healthier food choices. I'll check back on more tips from you as well to see baby's progress :)

Hi Kristine!
I was looking for your opinion.
I am 22 weeks now; prior to conceiving I was working on competing in my first fitness competition.
I am a self-dubbed fitness and health nut and have maintained all of my good habits throughout pregnancy.
The problem is -- I've gained 19 lbs so far! The doctor doesn't seem concerned as the weight gain does not appear to be actual fat gain... I can still fit into pre-pregnancy clothing and many have stated at one time or another that I appear small for my stage. Based on your experience, can you fathom any other explanation? I accept my body will do what it feel it needs to do, but it would sure be a lot easier to handle if I just knew why the scale continues to climb despite my efforts.
