I've been struggling with bloating most of the week and I'm eating all the right things. No preservatives, no white flours, no prepackaged foods, no starches at night, no dairy, low carb lunches, low sodium.. veggies with every meal. I drink almost 100+ oz a day as well.

I did have a lot of chia seeds and flaxseed over the course of the day. Do you think that could be what might be causing it?

Hmm, never thought of doing ab work to beat bloating.

Do you think that maybe you get sore after doing abs once every 2 weeks versus more often like the PT's suggested, is because you're body isn't used to it? You know how you get super sore after not working out for a while, but when you do it consistently, you don't get sore, or not as much because your body is used to it?

I can sometimes get really bloated off just one meal too. Not fun. Sorry to see so many things bother you...even though they're healthy items. Brussels, broccoli and cauliflower are the gassiest veggies around :(

I look the exact same way after just one meal of eating foods I wouldn't normally eat! I hope that yours takes less time to go down than mine does - I've been bloated for a week from eating too much dahl :-(

FODMAPs in general make me feel bloated! Really, really bloated. But particularly fructose and sorbitol (oh how I miss my beloved apples) and fructans (wheat, onions, garlic, etc.). I was bloated for a very long time on my super healthy diet before I figured this out, though! Then I finally learned that my love of healthy foods was actually the source of the bloat! I ate a heap of Brussels sprouts on Christmas and oh, the pain...

Oddly, I have discovered over the years doing my stomach exercises once every two weeks to feel any soreness, holds my stomach taught for a whole week-reverse incline crunches & hanging knee raises. I `ve had a couple of PT`s try to prove me wrong, one had me do 10 different exercises, 10 of each, 100 all up, another just different types, yeah, it was screaming at the time, but felt nothing after. My point is I ensure I do this before 'holiday bloat time' (LOL) and it does help. But yes, I find too much fruit will bloat me, overdose in fruit salad & I look 4 months pregnant ...or too many carbs, sugar, too much alcohol the same. Finding that "I gotta stop now' point when you`re eating something delicious like a fruit salad YUM. I`m carrying an extra 1.5kgs right now anyway...so I`m just going to blame that at this time of year ;)

Fiber is great. Although you have to gradually increase or else it will bloat you if your body isn't used to all the extra fiber all of a sudden. Flax and psyllium are both great!

Ugh that's exactly how I feel this am. I don't exactly look like your 'before' photo with a 1 month old. But I had gotten my stomach back to flat with my diet and exercise and yesterday I noticed it was just... Bloated. I eat a whole food vegetarian diet normally and going off it makes me feel like crap. Tired, bloated and uncomfy. And the worse part, I transferred the uncomfy to my daughter. Glad to have the holidays over. Time to go back to my normal.
