Now that Labour Day is over and the kids are back in school, its time to get back into the routine! Healthy snacks can be tricky, especially if you want something that the whole family will happily eat. Fruit and veggies are the natural choice, but I also like to pack more creative snacks that taste great and don’t take much time to prepare.
I was invited over to Global BC Morning News this week to showcase 5 Healthy Snack Recipes! So here’s what I demonstrated for the segment. I hope you give them a try!
Edited to add: In case you missed the segment, you can view it below 🙂
This only takes 5 minutes to make and tastes great! Its also not filled with sugar as traditional flavored store-bought yogurts. My Pumpkin Greek Yogurt is also quick to make and delicious!
No-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls
This recipe can be made into balls or bars. To make bars instead, press into an 8×8 pan and cut into 10 bars.
Healthy No Marshmallow Rice Krispie Treats
These are amazing and taste very close to traditional rice krispie treats! Only these are much less sugar and lower glycemic index than the marshmallow version.
These pancakes are so easy to make and you can top them however you like! Great served with my homemade sugar-free chia seed jam! A ton of topping suggestions are included in the recipe. I also give my girls these for lunch sometimes instead of a sandwich.
We love these muffins, they taste like chocolate cake! Great way to eat quinoa! This recipe is also flourless and dairy-free.
