21 weeks and counting

Happy Friday!  What a week!  There is so much happening right now my head is spinning!  The baby excitement and finding out we’re having another GIRL. If you haven’t already, check out the video with my hilarious reaction.  Plus, aside from the baby stuff, we’re in the midst of having to re-locate very soon.

Funny story, after trying to sell our house twice with no success, our next door neighbors are buying our house! (Yep, they’re on the left!) They were renting there, but wanted to buy.

How often do you see that happen?  It was great, as we did the sale privately and saved all the real estate fees.

We’ve been wanting to move back closer to the city for a while now, and now it will finally happen.  The month of May will involve a lot of packing, as we’ll be out by May 31st.  What’s unfortunate, is the same day as the baby ultrasound (last Friday), we also found out that the house we had an offer on failed the inspection…in the worst way possible.  The inspector said its one of the worst he’s seen.  So now we’re back on the house hunt, but a wee bit stressed as we’ll most likely have to stay with a friend of ours if we don’t find something asap.  We don’t want to rent, then have to sign a lease and try and break it. That’s why we’ll be staying somewhere where we can have some freedom, and keep most of our stuff packed away and stored and not have to move twice.

So that’s the drama that’s been affecting us lately.  I sure as heck hope to be moved and settled in a new house of our own before this baby arrives.  Nesting mode will be kicking in soon!

In baby news, I never went back and edited my post on our reactions from the ultrasound, so I’ll post them here.

Let me tell you, I was SHOCKED! I totally thought this baby was a boy!  If I was going my how I felt sickness wise, its been the same as with Sienna, and food cravings/aversions have been the same too.  But this baby kicks a lot harder, so that’s what made me think boy.  Plus the fact I came from a family of having 1 brother, and never thought I’d end up having 2 girls. Don’t get me wrong…secretly, its a dream come true. I could have 5 girls (ok, maybe that’s a stretch), and boys do scare me a little bit. Especially cause I’m already familiar with all the female “parts”. 😉

I danced growing up, so now my dreams revolve around re-living my girly upbringing.  On the other hand though, I do feel bad for my hubby a little.  He’s totally going to be outnumbered now!  He said it would have been cool to have a boy, but he’s fine with girls too, and lets face it….girls do love their daddies!  Sienna is lucky she’ll have a sister. I never had one, but always wanted one (no offense to my bro!)

What will also be awesome is having everything already. I have NO gender neutral stuff…its all pink. So I can re-use all the same crib bedding, clothes and toys. I had even gotten a pink Bumbo (wasn’t quite thinking ahead, or maybe I was 😉 )

We got a 3D ultrasound so I was hoping to post a couple pics, but she wasn’t cooperating (aside from showing the tech her vajayjay), so we had to reschedule to the beginning of June. Aside from that, everything appeared to be normal and healthy, so that’s all you can really hope for!

Last week I finally went off my anti-nausea pill. I was still taking 1 at night. I do find I have to eat something as soon as I wake up, or the puking is guaranteed. I mean seriously?! Who still pukes at 21 weeks?!

Belly wise, I feel like I’ve grown a ton, but when I take pics, all I see is a tiny change after 2 weeks. What’s up with that?!

21 weeks (taken last night)

Compared to 19 weeks

I really need to dig up the pics from when I was pregnant with Sienna. They’re on my old and super-slow hard drive.  But I’ll try and do that for the next family post.

The back pain is still brutal, but the chiropractor is definitely helping. After chatting with a fellow preggo on Facebook, I think in fact I have SPD (Symphysis pubis dysfunction)  but haven’t been formally diagnosed. Everything is how I feel to a tee, and it also explains why its been happening with a subsequent pregnancy. They say a brace can help, so I went online and ordered one.  I’m hoping it can fit under my clothes. This is the one I got…

Serola Sacroiliac Belt

Lets hope it comfie and does the trick!

That’s about all I have for today. On Monday, I’ve got an awesome new contest posting, so keep watch for that!

First, a question of the day….

QUESTION: For those of you with babies, were you surprised with what sex it was (if you found out or waited). What was your reaction?
