Favorite Find: Singin’ in the Rain

Unfortunately, I know about rain…too well actually. In Vancouver we get a lot of it in fall and winter (with a bit of snow too). Spring, yep, you guessed it…more rain. Rain boots (and umbrellas!) are readily available here.  I admit, I’ve gone through a few pairs of rubber boots, and wasn’t a huge fan.  They’re cheap, frumpy, my feet would get very cold and they stink like old rubber tires.  Who knew boots could stink?

So I was pretty excited when the people at Bogs Footwear contacted me and asked if I’d be interested in trying a pair of their boots.  After looking through their site, I decided upon this style.

I figured this style would be the most practical, and somewhat fashionable!  Much of my day is carting around my preschooler, so glam really isn’t part of my daily look. 😉

I must say, I really LOVE these boots! Bogs calls them “The Cadillac for your feet”. I must admit, they are comfy.  They definitely exceeded my expectations.  They aren’t like any other rubber boot I’ve had.  Much higher quality, lined, and I think they’ll last a really long time.

Yes, they cost more than your ‘typical’ boot, but these, I’ll actually wear versus have them sit in the garage collecting dust.

Just about to throw on my coat and head out into the rain….

And when I’m not wearing them, they make great entertainment for Sienna…

Here are some other cool features listed on their website:

NEO-TECH INSULATION
Provides added cushioning and warmth from temperate to sub-zero temperatures

DURABLE RUBBER
High performance, tough rubber to protect from the elements, sealing out water

CONTOUR FIT
For Maximum support and movement with a wider forefront and narrower heel

SLIP RESISTANT OUTSOLE
Added Traction with a sturdy rubber outsole

WATERPROOF UPPER
Neo-Tech upper that protects from the cold and is 100% waterproof

I’m eying up another pair for the spring.  Perhaps a cute patterned one.
