Happy Friday! Hope you had a great week! Its been another crazy one for me! I’ve been prepping for my soon to be sister-in-law’s bridal shower tomorrow. Worked on the cake last night! Won’t go into details as she may be reading this blog 😉 But I’ll have plenty of pictures of the food, and the cake! Its the first time I’ve attempted a cake like this, but so far, so good!
Aside from the rain, I really love fall! The cool crisp air, but not too chilly. The changing leaves, and the warm & cozy clothes and food.
Since I’ll soon be working from home only (bye bye business attire), I’m starting to re-evaluate my fall wardrobe! I don’t get out much these days (let’s be honest). Date night are few and far between, and almost all my girlfriends have kids, so it gets harder to have our girl nights. I also don’t have a lot of cash to spend on clothes for me anymore. My 3 year old has better clothes than me; isn’t that always how it goes? In the last couple of years, I’ve done more of my clothes shopping at a grocery store (Superstore – Joe!), than a mall. Sad, isn’t it?! But this fall, I’d like to get just a couple items, that I can wear with a bunch of things.
I’m big on tights. a) for comfort b) for versatility. Jeggings are another thing I’m still into. So with wearing tights and jeggings, naturally, knee high boots have to be in the waredrobe. I have a great pair of cowboy boots (but not too cowboy-ish) and black boots that I wear often, but I’d love to add something like this into the rotation…..
Wedge (great for comfort), not too high of a heel. I don’t want to be “that girl” picking up my daughter from preschool in the 5 inch stiletto’s 😉 These are from Aldo Shoes.
Another great item for fall is a great chunky sweater. Here’s one that caught my eye from Smart Set.
QUESTION!! What are you wanting for clothes this fall??
Food this week was pretty basic….
Crock Pot Greek Chicken (recipe posting soon)
Another go-to dinner is Fajitas!
We always tend to have pre-cooked chicken in the fridge, so all I do is saute up some onions and peppers. I keep corn tortilla’s on hand (frozen), so a quick zap in the microwave, some chopped cilantro and salsa on top, and dinner is done in 15 minutes!
QUESTION! What’s Your Quick Dinner Staple?
To top off the week, just a cute picture of hubby and munchkin, relaxing on the couch. Who doesn’t love snuggles?!
Enjoy your weekend!
