I decided to call this Elvis oatmeal, since Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches were his favorite (mine too!). So this is the best of both, in a bowl for breakfast!!! Oh, and it takes only 5 minutes to make!! A great meal to have after a morning workout!
1/3 c quick oats
Water – enough to just cover the raw oats
1/4 cup chocolate peanut butter whey protein (I used Whey Gourmet) (could also use chocolate whey protein)
2 Tbsp PB2 – powdered peanut butter (or 1 Tbsp natural peanut butter)
Splash of unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
1/2 of a small banana, sliced
Add water and dry oats in bowl, cook in microwave for 3 minutes. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, add protein powder & PB2, add a dash of almond milk (just enough to just bring them together). Once the oatmeal is cooked, pour the protein/pb mixture on top. Add sliced banana. Enjoy!!
