Happy Wednesday! How’s your week going so far? It’s flown by (well for me anyway!) Back into the crazy routine of back to school, everyone back from holidays at work. Its starting to feel like fall in the air too, especially in the morning.
I’m super stoked about today’s “Favorite Find”. If you’ve followed along my Facebook Page, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of chewing gum. Call it a crutch if you will, but for me, it really keeps my cravings and overeating under control. I’m always on the lookout for new flavors. Even though I like traditional brands of sugar free gum, I know they’re not the best for me, especially with the artificial sweeteners.
Over the past couple years, I’ve tried a couple of various types of natural sugar free gum. Up until I tried this product, my favorite was probably Spry gum (also sweetened with xylitol).
Now enters Pur gum!
The people at Pur were kind enough to send me a pack of each flavor! I was really impressed with them all, especially the pomegranate mint. I wasn’t sure whether I was going to like the fruit/mint combo, but it was really good! Brent (the hubby) liked them too. I tend to leave all my gum in my car as that’s where I typically chew it (I’m a sales rep so I’m on the road a lot). I knew he liked it when he had borrowed my car and I came back to an empty pack!
Best part, is chewing gum without the guilt. I know I’m not putting any aspartame or other artificial sweeteners into my body, so I was just happily chewing away!!! I also find the flavor lasts longer than the Spry gum.

What is Xylitol you ask?
Its a sugar alcohol sweetener used as a naturally occurring sugar substitute. It is found in the fibers of many fruits and vegetables, including various berries, corn husks, oats, and mushrooms. Clinical studies have repeatedly shown dental benefits when regularly consuming products sweetened with xylitol, so its a perfect fit to be in a chewing gum!
I’ll definitely go out and buy more. They have a new flavor that I haven’t tried yet…called Excitement
While I don’t think I can completely give up to traditional sugar free gum, I’ll definitely be adding Pur into the regular rotation!!
Check out the “Find Us” feature on their site to find a store near you that carries it.
Question! Have you tried a xylitol sweetened product before??
