Favorite Find: For the Tea Drinkers…

Its no secret that I’m a big fan of tea.  You may have seen my recent post on Davids Tea and my favorite flavors.  What I haven’t mentioned, is the kettle I use to boil the water for the tea.

We picked this up a while back at Costco.  Its different from any other kettle I’ve had.  I’d typically go for an on-the-stove kettle, but this one is electric.  It boils the water very very fast (if you just put in a couple of servings)

Russell Hobbs Tea Kettle

Here are some other features:

  • 1.7 Liter Capacity
  • Automatic safety shut-off cuts power if kettle is plugged in dry
  • 1500 Watt Concealed Heating Element
  • Multi-directional 360 Degree Power Base great for left or right handed use
  • Cord Storage in Base
  • Boils as little as 2 cups (500 ml) of water
  • Removable Lid
  • Power On Indicator Light

If you’re in the market for a new kettle, I did some googling, and it looks like you can find a similar model at Sears in Canada or the US. I’m not sure if its still at Costco.  The price looks to be around $60.00 on average.  We use ours multiple times a day and love it!  It doesn’t whistle to know when its off, but the button ‘clicks’ and turns off, so you can hear it from a distance when its done. Its definitely been well worth the money for us!
