Favorite Find: Natural Shampoo

Happy Wednesday!  Hope you’re having a great week so far!

I just realized that we have a family photo session tomorrow.  Booked it before Christmas.  At least I was smart enough to not do it for the week back at school, so I give myself a bit of credit.  Too bad I’m as white as a ghost.  I think I’ll have to apply some fake tanner today….like twice, so I don’t blend in with the flash!

Today’s “Favorite Find” is something I picked up yet again at Costco.  When I’m at Costco, I never usually browse the beauty and healthcare aisles. I’m usually just there for the food.

I knew I was completely out of shampoo at home, so I figured, hey, why not.  I typically buy natural shampoo, the kinds without sulfates.  When I use the ones that smell super pretty, they make my scalp itch, big time.  I’ve wasted a lot of money learning it wasn’t the brand, but it was the ingredients in the product.

Not that I mind, as I’m always looking for ways to use less additives and chemicals in our home.  I’ve always used natural shampoo without sulfates and parabens for Sienna, so why not for us too?

Here’s what I found: Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Threat Invigorating Shampoo (it was also shrink wrapped with a conditioner)

I’ve used it a few times already, and love it!  The tea tree oil makes it a bit tingly on the scalp, which I like.  Best part is – no ichiness afterwards.

This actually isn’t the first time I’ve seen the Giovanni brand.  I first saw it in health food stores, but never expected it to pop up in Costco!

Key selling points for me:

Not tested on animals, certified organic, no phthalates, no artificial fragrance, no dyes, no sulfates, no parabens.

The conditioner it comes with is good too, but I’m more of a fan of the shampoo.

Here’s a closer look at the front of the label:

Now that I know I like this product, I’d be totally willing to try some of their other products.  To see the entire line, visit their website. They are also on Facebook and Twitter.

QUESTION!  What’s your favorite shampoo?
