Favorite Find: My Top 5 Favorite Condiments

Hey all!  Happy Wednesday!  I am tired!  Is it Friday yet?  This post is getting out late, had a busy day today.  Just finished dinner, but I could have ate a whole lot more.  I tend to reach for food when I’m tired…thinking it will be a pick me up.  Usually it isn’t!

For today’s “Favorite Find Wednesday” I wanted to share my Top 5 Condiments!  Some people like their foods plain, but I am certainly not one of them.  I love pretty much all sauces and dressings.  My only saving grace is not being able to eat dairy sauces, so I’m sure that’s saved me thousands of calories over the years!

Sometimes, for me, all it takes is a little bit of a certain condiment to give things more variety!  Turns drab into fab! 🙂  The only downfall is portion sizes.  You really do have to watch portion sizes (I measure) when using these extras.  It can really add up really quickly!!  Not necessarily fat and sugar, but sodium too.

Here they are, lined up and pretty.

L to R: French’s Mustard, ED Smith Low Sugar Syrup (sorry totally didn’t realized it was turned to the french side!), Organic Ville BBQ Sauce, Renee’s Honey Dijon Dressing, Franks Red Hot Sauce.

I’m not sure if the ED Smith Syrup is a Canadian product only.  I know there are tons of lower sugar pancake type maple syrups in the US (Walden Farms, Nature’s Hollow).  I’m actually not a big fan of Walden Farms.  The Pancake Syrup is ok, but in my opinion, everything else I’ve tried is YUCK!  I try to keep sucralose in moderation (you all know stevia is always my top pick).  Just stinks that regular maple syrup is so high in calories and sugar.

Organic Ville BBQ Sauce.  This is just a really good and natural BBQ sauce.  I’ve tried various low cal/sugar free BBQ Sauce and most are not good at all.  So that’s why I like this BBQ Sauce, a little goes a long way.  Sometimes the real thing in small amounts is just better!

This Renee’s Gourmet Dressing is definitely in my favorite dressing category.  You may have seen that post here.  Why I like it?  Gluten free, dairy free, egg free, refined sugar free.  In my option, its one of the healthiest store bought dressing you can get.

Franks Red Hot Sauce.  Not really much to say about this one.  Who doesn’t love it?!  I don’t like things that are very spicy, but I find this ok.  Just the right amount of spice! It really adds zing to anything…even plain cucumber!

Last but not least, plain ol’ mustard!  Sometimes it just fits the bill!  With chicken, and I’ll even have it with egg whites (instead of salsa!).  I get it in the Family Size! 😉

See you on Friday where I’ll have another review of the week!
