Hey all! Happy Wednesday! If you follow along on Twitter, you may have read last Friday that I was snacking away on a new snack! As you know, I’m always looking for cool, new and yummy things to share for “Favorite Find Wednesday”
If you haven’t tried these things called “Savi-Seeds” they are a great new snack that packs a nutritional punch! In only 1 oz of these seeds (they aren’t nuts or legumes), they have 3500mg of Omega 3!!!!!!! WOW!!!! That is literally 13 times more than an ounce of wild salmon! There is also 8 grams of protein in each ounce which is very respectable!
Here’s mine all lined up! They come in 3 flavors, Cocoa Kissed, Oh Natural & Karmalized. Cocoa Kissed is covered in dark chocolate, and Karmalized tastes like a honey roasted peanut! Of course, for the healthiest option, opt for the Oh Natural. There is zero sugar in that one. Calorie wise, they are about the same as an ounce of nuts, so they aren’t a ‘free’ food. You will have to work them into your overall calorie intake. I see them as a great alternative to other nuts and seeds I already have in my diet. I’m going to be working them into my rotation, they taste good and are awesome for the added Omega 3 benefits alone! If you haven’t heard, Omega 3 is great for your brain, lowers cholesterol levels, improves memory, increases fat loss and its also anti-inflammatory!
The Cocoa Kissed actually has a low amount of sugar per serving (5g per oz) since its 70% dark chocolate. Here’s the nutritional breakdown for each.
I also did some more snooping on their website and they have some great looking recipes using SaviSeed! You know how much I love recipes!
Cocoa Kissed Quinoa Cookies *I’m so trying these!!
Rawsome SaviSeed Brownies
Savi Chocolate Blueberry Energy Bars
Savi Ginger Pear Trail Mix
Shaved Zucchini and SaviSeed Salad
Here’s a LINK to all their recipes.
SaviSeed is made by a really great company, Sequel Naturals. They also make all the great Vega products. The Vega Sports Optimizer was a Favorite Find of mine back in January. See that review HERE.

Question: What nuts & seeds do you have in your diet? I also love almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and hemp seeds!
See you Friday!
