Hey Guys!  I realized this morning I haven’t done a personal update in a while.  February is already zooming by and we’re almost at Valentine’s Day!  What are your plans for V-Day?  On the 14th, we won’t be doing anything too special, probably just dinner at home.  But on Feb 25th, we managed to plan a fabulous night out!

My brother offered to babysit Sienna overnight.  She’s at an age now where she’s totally easy. Fully potty trained, doesn’t cry unless she’s hurt and is practically self sufficient.  Like most guys, my brother was a wee bit uncomfortable with the diapers and crying stage, but I don’t blame him!

I’m embarrassed to admit this, but Brent and I haven’t been on a ‘date’ with just the two of us since our Anniversary last April.  How did that happen? No idea.  We always plan on having solo time, but it obviously didn’t happen.  Other things tend to get in the way too easily, and we just make excuses.  We’d like to do a better job this year and spending more time just the two of us.  We’d like to do it again for our anniversary in April.  Dinner out at the very least!

Ok, so what’s the plan?  Well, first we’re headed to the spa for a couple’s massage… (Spa Utopia in North Vancouver)

Then, checking into a hotel (not sure which one yet as we’re using HotWire), getting settled, then head out to dinner.

We’re going to a place in Coal Harbour that we’ve never been, its called LIFT Bar & Grill…

Its literally on a dock, overlooking the water! Pretty cool!

The food is pretty contemporary, with quite a bit of seafood (naturally), and various main courses.  I always have a tendency to dissect the menu before I go somewhere new, so I’ll probably know what I’m having before we arrive!

After dinner, I booked us tickets for a Comedy Show.

We don’t know the headliners we’re seeing, but there is a Comedy Fest going on until Feb 25th, and this show is part of it.  A bunch of comedians are in the city from US & Canada.  So I’m sure it will be a good time.

I’ll actually be up past midnight for the first time in a long time!! 😉

Then, in less than a month’s time, we’ll be off to Disneyland & Mexico!

We’re beyond excited to bring Sienna there for the first time!  She’s going to love it, 3 seems like a great age to bring her.  It will be a family trip, Brent’s parents are coming along, so it will be nice to have the extra hands, and since they live in Alberta and we don’t get to see them very often, it will be nice to hang out.

We’ll be spending 4 days in Disneyland, then we’re all off to San Carlos, Mexico.  My aunt and uncle own a condo there.  We’ve never been, but the pictures I’ve seen look beautiful!

Its on the Pacific side, on the mainland.  Its farther north.  We’ve been to Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas before…

We’ll be there for about a week.  I’ll be hitting up some bloggy friends to do a couple of guest posts while I’m gone, so expect to hear from me 😉

Other than this big trip, no other big travel plans this year.  Brent and I wanted to try and do Vegas, but not sure if that will happen.

We’re still looking to move asap, and when we do, it will probably be a fixer-upper, so that will keep us very occupied.  This move better happen, as I have Sienna registered for a new preschool in September in the city we want to live, which is about 45 minutes away! Fingers crossed it all works out…
