Happy Wednesday! I have another great find for you! The WOLL Titanium skillet. Here is the story behind it……
I was at a Women’s Show last weekend and came across this great set of cookware. I’ve been researching cookware as most people are becoming more aware that teflon is not good as the chemical coating can leach into your food. Stainless steel is another option, and mainly what I’ve been using, but the BIG downfall is that things can stick to it quite easily, especially eggs. You have to cook at a really low heat, so it really increases the cooking time. So I was really happy when I came across this!
Titanium seems like the next best thing, doesn’t have have the chemical component as teflon, and I find its totally non-stick! Its a very heavy pan, similar to cast iron, but much better for everyday. You can also remove the handle easily and put it in the oven!
Here is what the website says about it:
“TitanPlus, our classic and the first pan series from
WOLL, is still the strongest cast aluminium pan
series on the market. Its extra-thick approximately 10-mm
bottom absorbs heat optimally and distributes it evenly
during cooking – ensuring perfect results. A patented
hard-base coating makes the pan extremely cut and
abrasion resistant and provides for excellent non-stick properties. Thanks to a variety of handles TitanPlus
pan series can be put to many uses – e.g. as a baking
or casserole dish in the oven.”
The only downfall is that this cookware can’t be bought everywhere. The company that I got it from (in Canada) just sells at home shows etc. Not something you can find at your local department store, or cookware store. The skillet that I got was $200, but it was WELL worth it. I’ve been using it everyday for almost a week and hubby and I both LOVE it! We’re pretty tough on our cookware, so I’ll see how it lasts in the long haul, but I have a very good feeling it will hold up very well! It also has a 25-year warranty.
Question: What cookware do you use and love??
Till Friday!
