Favorite Find Wednesday: Healthier Salad Dressing

Happy Wednesday!  I am so glad the week is halfway through already!  Last night was a rough night.  Sienna was sick, think she caught a stomach bug.  Its the first time my little girl puked.  It was so sad to see 🙁  She’s went 2.5 years without it…pretty good record!

Enough talk about puke, cause now I want to talk about something delicious!!!! LOL!

Some ‘clean eaters’ out there think salad dressings are totally taboo.  Me, um, no!!  Honestly, I don’t ever feel like putting the time and effort into making homemade salad dressing.  Sometimes, its all about convenience, ya know?  I really like these salad dressings because they are gluten free, dairy free (most of them) and are made of all-natural ingredients.

I’m pretty sure these are only available in Canada, but I do know the US has quite a few similar products.  If any of you American readers have any suggestions for similar products in the US, please COMMENT below.  I’m sure it would help other peeps out.

The brand I like…Renee’s Gourmet Salad Dressings.  Here is the current line-up I have at the moment.

Seriously, the are ALL good!  The only one I tried and didn’t like, was the Japanese Ginger.  I just found it really salty.

By far, my favorite it the honey dijon! Rarely, can you get a creamy dressing that is dairy-free

I also like that the sugar content with these dressings isn’t super high, and they use things like cane sugar.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that you can douse all your food in the stuff.  I always stick to a 2 Tbsp serving.

Here are some of the other flavors of the vinegarette’s…. from their website.

They also have some yogurt type ones that are lower cal too.  I would stay away from the creamy ones and the ones in the tub (spoonables), those are pretty high in fat for a small serving.  Not that fat is BAD, cause its NOT, but its easy to go overboard on dressings, and its good to have other type of monosaturated fats, like from EVOO, peanut butter, almonds, avocado’s and other whole foods.  You also know I’m a big fan of coconut oil, I posted about it HERE, which is a saturated fat.

So there you have it!  My favorite dressings! 🙂  Chat soon!
