KristineBlog, Family, What I Ate Wednesday1 Comment

Here’s what “Randomness” means according to Wikipedia: “Having no definite aim or purpose; not sent or guided in a particular direction; made, done, occurring, etc., without method or conscious choice; haphazard.”  Haphazard, well that definitely describes today’s post! lol!

Here’s a Friday funny….

funny-random-panda-image.jpgCaution: Small Vent Ahead!

Do you ever feel like you’re flying by the seat of your pants and can’t seem to catch up in your own life?  Well that’s what I feel like at the moment!  My mind has been in a million different places, and I have so many things on the go.  My workouts have been suffering, especially since I got that injury lately, my eating hasn’t been as rigid (which is what I need for success).  Work & life balance has been a struggle.  I try to peel myself away from the computer by 8:00pm so I can relax and spend time with my hubby.  I was away this week for a work conference, so that doesn’t help.  If you notice I haven’t been posting as much lately its due to 1 major thing: the site has been acting up and I’ve been unable to get some posts out.  Last week, half the post went out, but half got cut off.  It looks like I’m going to be switching over to WordPress (blogging software) so hopefully the issues will stop.

When it comes to the site, its only Brent and I that keep it going.  Videos, content, speaking with potential sponsors (to advertise – banners etc).  The site has been growing and gaining more attention each month.  Just to re-iterate, I have a full time job as a Sales Rep which has me out on the road often. Don’t get me wrong, I am absolutely thrilled with how everything is going, and there are some amazing opportunities coming my way and I am so thankful.  I’m not complaining (even thought it may seem like I am) its just a vent. I’m sure you all can relate this to your lives.  The pace can just get to you after a while. Vacation time?! Um, YES!  In addition to everything, I’m working on a series of E-Cookbooks, that I never seem to have time to finish writing and editing.   Deadlines, and more deadlines.  I’ve also got a mega list of recipes I want to test, so I can share more great recipes with you all!  I also just remembered I have yet to get out July’s Recipe Club E-Newsletter.  If you haven’t signed up for that.  Here’s the link.  I post an exclusive recipe each month in the newsletter.

Kids Are Blessings

I do my best to always see the positive side of things, and try to enjoy the simple things.  I make sure I smile each day.  Luckily I have this little person that makes it easy….

in heels.JPGDon’t you love that she picked the heels that match her outfit.  Perhaps a future fashionista?! 😉  I try to make a point each day to take in and enjoy the simple things.  My little girl will be turning 3 soon and we’ve got her birthday party next weekend!  I’m going to be making a Little Mermaid cake.  Decorated cakes definitely aren’t my specialty, so I’m sure it will look not-so-professional, but I’m ok with that!

Not sure if it “appears” that I have my life totally in order, because I don’t always do!  I’m a real person, and have all the same struggles as you!  For the most part I manage well, but there are other times (like now) where I don’t feel as organized, and I hate that.

Some other things I’ve been meaning to post lately that I haven’t gotten around to?

My Favorite Way To Make Salmon

I think I’ve done this 6 times already, in the matter of a month!  Its SO SO GOOD!  Plus, its the easiest thing ever.  Its just a simple glaze.  I’m going to post it on the Recipe section of the site too.

Salmon Glaze
1/4 cup lower sugar orange marmalade
1/2 tsp garlic powder (or to taste)
1/4 tsp dried ginger (or to taste)
2 Tbsp grainy dijon mustard

If BBQ’ing, slather glaze on your salmon, place salmon on a large piece of tin foil, and place on pre-heated BBQ.  Cooking time will totally depend on how much salmon your cooking and the thickness of it.  This glaze will make enough for 4 servings of salmon.

Hair Product
